Associates are considered the direct heads of the Analyst class. The Associates act as the first line of communication between the Analysts in their Product Sector and the rest of the organization, as well as mentors to their Analysts. Once an Associate, members are expected to edit all work for formatting errors, attention-to-detail (ATD) mistakes, and grammar slip-ups. Associates also act as Portfolio Managers, having the ultimate say in transacting on pitches and reallocating assets for their Sector, after being approved by the Executive Board. Associates are required to attend all AMG and PSDA meetings, as well as lead their Sector's breakout meetings.

To be promoted to Associate, PSAMG Analysts must go through a semester-long Analyst workload. After the semester is complete, PSAMG Analysts must be interviewed by the entire Executive Board on what they have learned during the semester to secure a spot as an PSAMG Associate.
